It's not blue. It's aqua.

My business travel wardrobe can be described as Black. Grey skirt, black skirt, black slacks, black heels, black flats, black jacket.  The accompanying cardigans and t-shirts are in a variety of colors (including but not limited to black and white). My China ready wardrobe can be described as Blue. Blue jeans.  Blue T-shirts.  Blue sweaters.  Blue socks.  What isn't blue is white or black. Since nothing's changed but the color, why has my vacation packing taken three times as long as the business packing ever does?

Un-Packing It In

Dear Reader, Today I arrived in Edinburgh where I will be for the next two weeks.  I thought I would take my new digital camera out for a spin by posting a photo every day while I am here. Before I moved to the UK and began traveling extensively for work, I used to literally live out of my suitcase during trips.  But traveling with TIRMa taught be better.  Now I unpack on arrival, and my mornings are much, much easier!  (And my clothes are less crumpled.) ~LeAn

Those who know me know that my general level of fitness is about the same as that of moss. I consider eating fast to be an athletic activity. Therefore, do not be shocked, dear readers, to learn that while in Phoenix last week, I bought myself a pair of athletic pants. Athletic clothes come in all sorts of moisture wicking fabrics, temperature comfort levels, sports categories, and - I expect this applies to women's clothing more than men's - gradations of support and coverage. All these things are lost on someone who has avoided gyms for years because you simply can not be comfortable there in jeans and a sweater. Without the necessary background, I fell back on my somewhat more extensive knowledge of fashion and economics; I bought something with a recognizable logo from the half price rack. These blue pants with yellow stripes had their public debut yesterday. Granted, it was only because everything else was dirty and I needed to wear something to the hotel laundry ro...
